Shocking Viewsonic After Sales Service

We hear case after case of unbelievable unresponsiveness from Viewsonic. We really do not know the secret behind a consumers products company so arrogantly and unprofessionally treating its customers. But they do and continue doing.

In this case the customer actually writes to the senior management at Viewsonic. As if in punishment, despite a trail of emails, his Viewsonic monitor lies unrepaired for OVER A QUARTER.

Mr. Sandeep Dangi, a gujarati businessman, was at the end of Viewsonic's horrible customer service this time. Despite speaking to their National Manager - Customer Support and contacting their India CXO - all he could achieve was frustrating form emails from Viewsonic.

For yet another example of Viewsonic's terrible after sales services click here.

Viewsonic - 100 days of inaction

This is yet another case of Viewsonic's complete disrespect for its customers. A customer who is willing and desperately wants a PAID service and who has managed to get in touch with their National Coordinator CSD STILL gets NO VIEWSONIC SERVICE FOR A 100 DAYS.

The customer, Mr. A.N.Parthasaradhi, says,"I've been sending mails to Viewsonic to get a paid service for my LCD monitor (Monitor is not getting switched on)... Though i'm getting responses from Viewsonic asking me to wait for 5-7 business days, there is no response/serive after that. I've been struggling to get my monitor repaired for the past 3 months. I'm getting mentally pressured due to this, as lot of my work is getting backlogged."

Viewsonic Complaints - The Endless Deluge

There is no end to the lack of responsiveness from Viewsonic when it comes to after-sales service. It is not like they don’t know that they have a HUGE issue. The entire market know it. So what is the secret of their inaction?
Many of these heartfelt Viewsonic customer cries of disillusionment and frustration as sourced from http://tech2.in.com/india/news/monitors/viewsonic-experience-turns-sour-for-some-users/18411/0.
Perhaps the most concerning is the post by a dealer who feels that he has been cheated and has filed a 420 case against the company. Will the next step be that distributors move away from Viewsonic in droves? Will the company NEVER wake up??

Viewsonic Monitor Dead
I had purchased vs11534 which went dead after 6 month ,now despite lodging several complaint it shocking to note that no body is responding .
Shadab Khan @ Aug 25, 2008

Viewsonic Monitor Replacement also has problems!!
I had purchased vx2235wm which went dead after a month later replaced after five months ,now the replace ment is showing lines on monitor
Kamal @ May 06, 2008

Now Viewsonic Dealers are Complaining
The viewsonic 19" lcd are also having pixel(dot) problems. these dot problem are right from purchased from distributer.
so end users are not ready to accept these monitors and at last dealer has to bear the cost. in lg and samsung they have zero dot policy and in viewsonic they have 5 dots policy. so accoringly we should file case og 420 as we are giving full payment and company is supply damaged products.

Viewsonic Problems – from day of purchase
The Viewsonic 17" Widescreen LCD monitor that I purchased on 04-Aug-07 showed problems on the date of purchase itself.
I got it repaired within 3 week only to see that the same problem persists. I reported this to the concerned persons, RT outsorcing, The service centre in Trivandrum etc, etc, through mail and telephonically. As for them they have sold their monitor. The service people say that they do not have the authority to replace the faulty monitor, and RT outsourcing do not care to promply reply to the customers. It takes them nearly a week to reply an e-mail. From this it is evident that ther after sales in useless. Even now I am using the same faulty unit. And their slogan "SEE THE DIFFERENCE" and it is apt POOR AFTER SALES SERVICE that is the difference.

Guess? Viewsonic!
lol.....guess which monitor i got recently which conked off in less than a month?
r-day @ Oct 06, 2007

Decision Making-1
After having read this i guess i will never even touch viewsonic products.... i was under a false impression... i will shell out extra for a samsung or lg....
Puneet @ Oct 06, 2007

Viewsonic - International Rejects in India?
I get a feeling that Viewsonic had dumped the reject stuff from international market onto un-suspecting Indian consumers to earn high profits. Monitors no body will buy for even $ 100 each in international were sold here, hence the high number of complaints. Every consumer should go to the consumer redressal forum & teach these guys a lesson. Samsung is better- quality and RMA wise.
vijay @ Oct 06, 2007

RT Outsourcing – Outsourcing Incompetence
Have been using 19" monitor wide-screen from Viewsonic...there was a problem within 4 months of its use. The servicing company "RT Outsourcing" replaced it after 20 days and only when I spoke to the lead supervisor...The after sales service is pathetic and viewsonic needs to reconsider its servicing options..
Ashlyn @ Oct 06, 2007

Decision Making-2
Sources say that Viewsonic sold 1.5 lakh LCD monitors in three months and about 70 per cent of them had manufacturing defects and Umang Mehta, regional distributor of Viewsonic has denied any such allegations. This indicates that Umang Mehta just want to safe guard his Job and least bothered about customers satisfaction or company's reputation. Fact is a fact. He must have dared to accept it. Shame on him. FYI... I was in the process of buying a new monitor, now i will discard viewsonic from my list of choice.
Ashok Shah @ Oct 05, 2007

Viewsonic Excuses
'"We get about 25-30 complaints per day. Due to high sales, complaints are also high. Moreover, electronics are bound to get damaged during the monsoons due to moisture," says Sanjay Pandita, regional head (west), RT Outsourcing Services Ltd.'. This seems to be a standard excuse of all electronics equipment manufacturer eg Brightpoint which services Nokia phones gives similar excuses to its customers.

No end to Viewsonic Customer Travails

There is no end to Viewsonic service . But “lapses” is the wrong word – when you see case after case after case after case not being resolved for months at a time you do begin to see a pattern. We have to ask ourselves – is this a deliberate strategic decision? Can a company really be so short-sighted and unethical as to intentionally deny it’s customers the service that is due them – by law and by any standrads of ethical business? The answer seems to be YES.
Most telling is a customer’s perception that Viewsonic is “geared up to brush off customer” complaints and probably follows that as a corporate policy. After all it is not the employees of Viewsonic or RT Outsourcing Services Ltd. who decide – OK, lets not provide the customer with service that he/she is legally eligible for.
Shameful, Viewsonic.
Shameful, RT Outsourcing.
The following complaints are from aggrieved and disappointed Viewsonic customers from all parts of India. The complaints have mostly been sourced from www.consumercomplaints.in.

No Remote Control with VIEWSONIC
Posted: 2008-11-17 by R.D.
Upon purchasing a 16” ViewSonic LCD TV model N1630W online the unit arrived without a remote control. Thus began a round of back and forth e-mails with ViewSonic where I requested a replacement remote control, “even if I had to pay for it.” After providing the unit’s serial number I received a reply stating “Can't validate serial number. Please verify serial number” I then took a clear close-up photo of the serial number label on the back of the unit and e-mailed it in reply demonstrating the serial number I provided was correct. After that there was no further response from ViewSonic.
Based on this experience and user complaints I have since read online ViewSonic customer support is geared up to brush off customer’s problems rather than solve them.

I have purchased this Viewsonic computer monitor from PCPS Chennai, After about 6 months after purchase I get a mesaage of OSD UNLOCK right in the middle of my monitor. This message keeps flashing on and off and is absolutely irritating. I have called the company (Viwsonic India)and complained over phone and through emails (9 Mails). Initially they responded but the problem was never rectified. Even mentioning that I might have to go to courts does not initiate any response now. I have no other option but head to the courts. May this be a warning to other customers. Pratap. Chennai

Pathetic Viewsonic service

I m a harassed viewsonic customer. I purchased my viewsonic monitor on 25th may 2007 with guarantee of around 1 or 2 years but in 5months the screen is having problem I have complained to viewsonic my complaint no idrm071000190 this was not actioned by the engineer sent by you as he told that the part is not available it will take 2 or 3 days . After repeated calls to your customer care and get the same answer that it will take some more time and they will give me a confirmation call but till date i have never received a single call.but on 24th october after so many complaints they gave me standby screen of 17"(va1703wb) they told me to use this for some time today its around two months and above and I'm still using the screen I have not got the replacement yet whenever I call I get the same answer the part i s not available it will take around more 3 to 4 days.I'm fed of complaining. One day I came across this site complaint.com this is the best platform for consumers to express their thoughts .
I need some action to be taken immediately because I want my original screen back . I have paid for an 19" screen and why should Use a 17" screen.
Harassed, angry, clueless, desperate – that seems the fate of an average Viewsonic customer. When will the company wake up? Or is it already awake – and doing exactly what it feels will help it make profits by shafting it’s customers?

Objectionable Viewsonic Service! NOT Objectionable Article!

It seems someone has flagged our blog as "objectionable".
We can perhaps guess whose action it was - since we had informed Viewsonic about starting this blog. That they would rather spend time trying to throttle the just voice of their customers than improving their "pathetic" after-sales-service is even more pathetic. Still let us hope for better days from Viewsonic - or have they proved with this action that they are completely irredeemable?
The truth is that in most cases people simply do NOT complain - even when they face great hardship. This is especially so in India where the number of Viewsonic complaints (on the web) versus resolved cases or cases where the customer pursued other legal or PR measures to demand just action is negligible.
Given Viewsonic's massive product issues (experts have given figures as high as 70% - please refer previous article) and it's extremely unmindful attitude towards customers and customer complaints we can be sure that their attitude is prompted by a belief that the Indian customer is a weakling who will never fight back.
They are wrong.
We are joining their battle.
Though this blog might play only a small part in this battle, we will fight till justice is served.

Viewsonic Service Complaints - delhi, chennai, mumbai

Some more customer comments about Viewsonic service. Viewsonic Monitor Service - bad to worse

These are the original links for most of the customer comments:

Some of the profanity needs to be excused - but when you feel cheated, angry and powerless perhaps the best you can do is shout and swear - and even Viewsonic DOES NOT HEAR.
I think I not buy viewsonic now if so many people are having problem.
by ravik, Delhi, on Mar 05, 2008
Viewsonic used to make good monitors(I don't think they do anymore). But if you have a problem then god help you. It's sick how they don't even care one they've sold you a product.
